Ralph

Ralph began his piano studies at age 5, his organ studies at age 13, and completed his WSU bachelor’s degree in organ performance at 21. After discovering he liked to eat, he then earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, also at WSU. During a 31-year career with duPont as a control systems engineer, he had the opportunity to serve churches in West Virginia, Delaware, Ohio, Texas, Maryland, Hawaii, and England. He “retired” to Valley Center, his hometown, but has kept active both as an engineer, an organist, and a tinkerer in organ repair. Active in the American Guild of Organists since age 15, he has served as Dean for three chapters and now is co-Sub Dean of the Wichita Chapter. He works a full- time job at Atwoods as a gun salesman, and for several years has accompanied the high school choirs at Valley Center.
