Calvary United Methodist Church

COVID-19 Update for Sunday, January 16

Schedule for Sunday, January 16

In-Person Worship: 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. (Nursery will be available)

Adult Sunday School (May meet in-person or online.)

Children’s Sunday School Will NOT meet this Sunday (Will resume on Jan. 23)

As you are aware, Covid numbers are rising. Hospitalizations are at critical levels. Many in our congregation have also tested positive. In response, for the safety of our community and the Calvary church family, we have put a pause on several ministries. Wednesday evening choir rehearsals, meals, and classes will be on hold until February.

Worship will continue to meet in person at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m., and online worship will premiere at 10 a.m. We are asking that you practice social distancing in the sanctuary with at least 6 feet between you and other families. We also ask that all participants wear masks (we recommend N95s) in the church building.

Adult Sunday school classes may meet in the church building. We ask that all participants wear masks. Some adult classes are choosing to meet online. If your class needs assistance meeting on zoom, please contact the church staff and we will be happy to help set that up. Check with your class leaders if you don’t hear from them first about how your class plans to meet.

Children’s Sunday School will not meet this week. Several of our children’s volunteers are ill, and we plan to resume our regular Sunday morning children’s ministries on January 23.

We appreciate your support and flexibility as we respond to the current situation! Our hope is that we can move forward in mission and ministry while doing our best to care for one another. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions.

Grace and Peace,
Pastor Mike and Rev. Ashley

Join us for worship online - on your schedule!

Online worship premieres on Sundays at 10 a.m. and is available for replay afterward.

Join us for in-person worship, Sundays at 8:30 and 10:45am! -- Masks Are Required

We are excited to worship with you in-person weekly at 8:30am for our traditional service and at 10:45am for a service that includes both the organ and our worship band!

With the latest announcement from the CDC, we are encouraging you to wear your mask at church regardless of your vaccination status.

We care deeply about the worship experience and community that being in the building creates and we are deeply convicted that safety, as we gather, is one of the many ways we can include all people in our ministry together.

See you Sunday!
Pastor Mike and Rev. Ashley
