PowWow 101: A Two Evening Educational Experience
Did you know that Calvary UMC hosts multiple PowWows each year in on our CLC gym?
Our church partners with community members from the Native Community here in Sedgwick county to provide PowWows for graduations, New Year’s, and to maintain and support Native Culture in our area.  A pow wow is a celebration of Indigenous culture where people can gather, socialize, and share in traditional activities like dancing, drumming, and feasting.
Pastor Robert Kempton, from the Indian UMC here in Wichita has invited our congregation to come and learn about and participate in a PowWow on the weekend of November 7th and 8th.
Join us for a training on November 7th on how to be a good guest at a PowWow and then attend the Warrior Society PowWow on November 8th.
To RSVP for the training and PowWow, email Rev. Ashley PBT!
